What is Viktory Day of Giving?
Viktory Day is a 24-hour celebration of all things Grand View and the power of giving back, on April 23. Viktory Day is a special opportunity for GV students, employees, alumni, family, and friends to come together and show their support for their favorite departments, programs, and teams. You choose where you want your gift to have an impact. Be on the lookout for special challenges that make your gift go further!
Where does my gift go on Viktory Day?
On Viktory Day we celebrate all things GV. You can pick the department, program or team that means the most to you. Love all of GV? Donate to the GV Fund or Viking Scholarship Fund and GV will use your gift where it is needed it most.
How can I make a gift on Viktory Day?
Donating is easy. Visit viktoryday.grandview.edu on April 23rd and donate to the area that means the most to you. We strongly encourage you to make your gift online. This is the only way to assure that your gift will qualify for matches and challenges taking place throughout the day. To give by phone, you may call (800) 444‑6083. On Viktory Day, you can choose any area of Grand View to celebrate. Pick the department, program or team that means the most to you. You may make a gift to more than one area in the same transaction. Be sure to check all the challenges and matches that happen on Viktory Day to make your gift go the farthest.
Then, share your experience! Post about it on social. Email it. Encourage your friends to match your gift. By sharing about Viktory day with alumni and friends, you help reach the goal of 800 donors to Grand View.
How can I participate?
Anyone can get involved with Viktory Day of Giving! Simply by donating, you will make an impact. If you wish to be more involved, sign up to be an Ambassador. You can also post about Viktory Day of Giving on social media using #ViktoryDay. Need lunch today? Stop by campus from 11am - 1pm in the Luther Memorial Parking lot for free lunch from Roadside Tacos.
When will my credit card be charged?
After you submit your payment, your credit card will be charged immediately. You will receive a confirmation email the same day you made your donation.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Grand View uses a validated Level 1 Service Provider called Braintree that is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). The payment application utilizes the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol and tokenization to encrypt your credit card information and securely process your donation.
Is there a minimum gift amount?
The minimum gift amount is $5.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes! All donations on Viktory Day are tax-deductible. Once you make a gift on Viktory Day, your official tax receipt will be emailed to you.
Can I make a gift if I don't see the program or department I want to give to?
Yes! Enter where you would like your gift to go in the "Other" field and we will make sure gift gets to the area you love most!
I gave earlier this year. Does my gift count?
Only gifts made on April 23, 2024 count for Viktory Day of Giving. We celebrate all our donors year-round. Thank you for supporting Grand View students.
